This recipe was just like the one on the back of the chocolate chip bag. Two thing I learned from culinary classes , when making cookies, the ingredients must be at room temperature, and creaming of the butter and sugars is very important. Most people just mix them together and say it's good enough, but creaming them until they are light and fluffy makes a much better cookie. I baked one pan of cookies just as the recipe read, but I find the cookies to spread too thin while baking and it gives you a flat cookie. So I recommend you add 1/4 cup more flour to the recipe, it will make a more solid cookie.

Chocolate Peanutbutter Pie
This recipe is not from the cookbook. It is one I made up myself, but thought you might enjoy it. Here it is: Chocolate Peanutbutter Pie. In mixer blend; 1 (8oz) cream cheese, 3/4c peanut butter, 1 1/2c. powdered sugar, 6T. cocoa. Add in 1 tub cool whip. Spoon into prepared or bought graham cracker crust. Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips or chocolate sprinkles. Chill.
From time to time I may post a favorite recipe that is not in the book. I hope you all enjoy the pie.

Carrot Bread
This recipe for Carrot Bread was very different from any I have ever made. You bring the "wet" ingredients to a boil, then cool, before adding the dry ingredients. This bread was moist and sweet, with a very spicy flavor. My husband said it could be used as a dessert. Try this recipe for Carrot Bread and enjoy!
